    Darren Pang is one of the premier hockey announcers in the NHL. Mr. Pang is currently in his fourth season with FOX Sports Midwest as the analyst on St. Louis Blues telecasts. He also provides commentary for national, NHL telecasts on NBC and has served as a studio analyst for Canada's TSN network. Mr. Pang spent 12 years covering hockey for ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. He has also provided "Inside the glass" analysis for the NBC Sports Network in the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs and has also worked all four of NBC's Winter Classics as an analyst. In addition, Mr. Pang worked as an ice level reporter for the men's hockey coverage in Nagano, Japan during the 1998 Winter Olympics on CBS, NBC's coverage of the 2002 Winter Games and as a studio analyst at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver with TSN/CTV. As a player, he spent three NHL seasons, all with the Chicago Blackhawks, from 1984-85 to 1988-89. He played in a total of 81 games. In 1987-88, he was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and finished third in the race for the Calder Trophy.

    Darren and his wife Lynn reside in the St. Louis area while their two children, Tyler and Sammy, are students at The University of Missouri-Columbia.

  • Joe Fresta Jr. - Chairman

    Joe Fresta, Jr. is a Two-Time, testicular cancer survivor and avid hockey player. Mr. Fresta was born and raised in St. Louis and works as a commercial insurance broker. His passion for hockey began on a frozen pond next to his childhood home in South St. Louis at the age of four, when soon after he would begin attending St. Louis Blues games with his father. He began playing youth hockey at the Steinberg Ice Rink in 1970. He went on to play college hockey at the University of Wisconsin-at River Falls and still skates with his friends in the early mornings during the week. He created The Steinberg Winter Classic to celebrate the game of hockey's early history and to raise funding for local families whose loved ones are stricken with this deadly disease through the Cancer Care Foundation.

  • David Passanise

    David Passanise was born in St. Louis and was raised in The Hill Neighborhood. David's love of hockey began in the 60’s attending St. Louis Braves games at the old Arena with his Dad and Uncles. He began playing at the age of ten with the Steinberg Wise Bruins in Forest Park. He continued playing hockey through high school with the Southwest Longhorns and played in the Mid-States Hockey Championship game in 1974. David is the owner of Maestro Contracting, a full service contract screen printing and digital printing company serving marketing and advertising companies throughout the US. David is the Vice President of the Sicilian Cultural Association of St. Louis and serves on the Board of the Italia-America Bocce Club. He is an active member of the St. Ambrose Holy Name Society and St. Ambrose Crusaders Club. David and his wife Julie reside on The Hill. He has four sons, and 3 grandchildren. David lost his Father to cancer over 30 years ago and has since been a dedicated supporter of various cancer charities.

  • Ryan Wachter

    Ryan Wachter began playing hockey at the age of 4, went on to play at Christian Brothers College High School, and continues to play to this day multiple times per week. He has also coached various youth hockey teams with the Chesterfield Falcons Hockey Organization. Ryan and his wife Trisha reside in the Kirkwood area and are the proud parents of their son, Ben. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and Washington University in St. Louis and works in the St. Louis area at a large financial services company. Cancer has impacted the lives of many close relatives and friends of Ryan so the efforts of the Cancer Care Foundation are near and dear to his heart.
